Commissioned to mark the 60th anniversary of the Cannes Film Festival, "To Each His Own Cinema" brought together 33 of the world's pre-eminent filmmakers to produce short pieces exploring the multifarious facets of cinema and their perspective on the state of their chosen artform in the early 21st century.

Hollywood Hot Tubs

All hilarity breaks loose in this rousing and raucous tale of Hollywood hi-jinks and chicanery as a teenage delinquent turns plumber... and turns up in Hollywood Hot Tubs. After changing the famous "Hollywood" sign to "Hollyweed," Shawn Wright is given a choice of jail or getting a job. He takes a job as a hot tub plumber, and thus begins his arduous adventure into the wild world of sensuous starlets and star-studded parties in bubbling Hollywood tubs.

Intimity

A romantic film composed of seven intertwining love stories. Couples in love offer a glimpse into their intimate private lives as they deal with emotional problems proportional to their age and nature. Pasquale Baudaffi, on amnesty, comes out of prison and starts looking for a job with the help of his cousin Gaetano. But first he goes to what was once a brothel, but, unbeknownst to our hapless hero, has been taken over and rented as a dental office. Pasquale finds himself at the center of endless misunderstandings. He tries to be a gamekeeper but that's not okay, he tries to be a waiter in a bar: he immediately gets his orders wrong and he is fired. His performance as a garage keeper was negative. The very latest experience is in an electronics company but its insertion into the futuristic mechanism triggers the craziest complications. The encounter with a lost dog allows him to get to know his mistress and thus discover the woman of his life.

It's a Big Country

Comprised of eight unrelated episodes of inconsistent quality, this anthology piece of American propaganda features some of MGM Studios' best directors, screenwriters and actors; it is narrated by Louis Calhern. Stories are framed by the lecture of a university professor. In one tale a Boston resident becomes angry when the census forgets to record her presence. Another sketch chronicles the achievements of African Americans while still another pays tongue-in-cheek tribute to Texas.

A virginal high school senior decides to get revenge on her jock boyfriend when she discovers he's only dating her in hopes that she'll end up in his team's "bang book."
